Dr. Gary D. Morris
Gary D. Morris, M.D., began practice in Las Vegas, Nevada in 2000. His areas of expertise include the lower extremities, including traumatic and congenital conditions of the foot and ankle and total joint replacements of the ankle, knee, and hip. Dr. Morris also specializes in arthroscopic procedures of the lower extremities.
Dr. Morris received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from San Diego State University in 1990. In 1994, he received a Doctor of Medicine degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin. His surgical internship and orthopedic surgical residence were complete at Grace Hospital / Wayne State University in Detroit. He subsequently completed his foot and ankle sub specialty fellowship at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City. During his fellowship training, Dr. Morris trained under Bill Hamilton, M.D., orthopedic surgeon for the New York City Ballet, American Ballet Theather, and School of American Ballet. Dr. Morris received further training in foot and ankle trauma surgery in Hannover, Germany, prior to joining Nevada Orthopedic & Spine Center.
For several years, Dr. Morris has treated professional athletes and performers from many of the largest and most popular shows on the Las Vegas Strip including Celine Dion’s “A New Day” and several Cirque Du Soleil productions.
Dr. Morris was born in Los Angeles.

My second issue to visit him last year broken ankle which he quickly got me on a healing schedule and couple days ago for knees which he quickly diagnosed and started healing process. Dr. G Morris did emergency hip surgery on my elderly grandpa in 2013 and he had done 2 knee surgeries on me with continuous care for the last 10 +years. He is a wonderful doctor and really helped me with my health issues. All of the staff are very friendly and helpful! This was my first visit and I was impressed. Even though they seem to be a very busy practice, they are all willing to answer all your questions and concerns. Dr. Morris was very thorough with his exam and I did receive a cortisone injection, that I have to say is one of the least painful I have ever experienced (and that is saying a lot!). We will see what happens with some PT and go from there. I can confidently recommend this practice if you are in need of an orthopedic physician.

This doctor was very patient. Was not in a rush he did ex-rays first to determine my knee problem. Then suggesting. Cortizone shot and therapy. Was not quick to do surgery like most doctors do. Dr Morris is 1 of the Best Dr's I have ever had the experience of being operated on. I first met him yrs ago at a different practice. I have had a few debrisments of a hagler deformity removed and was told I would need it every few yrs and with every other Dr I had. It was truth but 19 yrs ago this man went in to debris the ankle and ended up repairing my Achilles tendon. I believe thats what he called it. I haven't had a surgery since. It's 19 yrs later and my ankle is in great shape. I need my knees done and I believe I see Dr Trainer for this but I'd trust Gary in a second to fix me again.. He has a great bed manner and has only become kinder over the yrs. Yesterday he injected each of my hips. I am sure this experience will be as good as my precvious. Dr Morris performed a total hip replacement of my left hip and I couldn't be happier. Prior to the replacement I had daily pain, oftentimes with every step of my left leg. Following the surgery I had the typical recovery pain, but the joint had disappeared. He and his staff were wonderful during the process and highly recommend them!

I had surgery on my Hagler deformity. Which just means additional unnecessary growth on the bone of my heel and had it shaved like 3 or 4times before. Dr Morris removed it and reworked my Achilles. He did alot of work and I haven't had a problem or surgery since. That was 15 to 17 yrs ago and I had the same surgery less the Achilles repair every 5 yrs. It's not coming back amd I recieved pain relief without meds or a foot massages. I fell over 4 stories. I lost track of him and now need knees and hip help knee replacement. I know God put him back in my path. I'm not all religious but I know God has something g to with it so here's to hopefully getting healthy enough to have my k ees done.

Doctor Gary Morris did a surgery on my left foot for me over 10 years ago and I never had issues with that foot since. Fast forward to now, and I injured my other foot, my right foot, in February 2020 and it never healed right and I couldn't get any clear answers and it has caused me a lot of pain. I had to go to Nevada for family matters recently and decided since I was going to be there anyways I couldn't let the opportunity pass me by to have Doctor Morris take a look at what is going on so I stopped in and he was quick to order an MRI and CT of my foot to make sure we don't miss anything since I was only in Nevada for a limited amount of time. Upon my return to Wyoming I had a phone follow up appointment with Doctor Morris recently to discuss what was found in the imaging and what I should do from here on out. Doctor Morris understands I live far away and it is hard for me to travel and was real nice about offering that whichever doctor I take my records to here to let them know they can call Doctor Morris' office for more information. Doctor Morris is real professional and real easy to work with. I would highly recommend anyone to see this doctor if they are having problems finding answers elsewhere. He is very knowledgeable. It is rare to find a doctor who not only knows what he is doing but also has a good bedside manner. He is a doctor that once he gives his professional opinion and advice about something I trust it and have a peace about it, whereas with other doctors it hasn't been that easy.

The most wonderful doctor that know what to do to fix the most complicated problems. I had bone spurs in my Achilles tendons, which was a major surgery. He had to remove my Tendon off my heel, break the bone spur off, put the tendon back on with screws, 17 staples, 2 months of a cast and 6 months of rehab. 12 month later, I had to do the other foot. He is the only one that could do it. He was given to me from Dr. Marcus Single who I was seeing for over 15 years. Both are amazing doctors.

Wonderful Doctor and staff. Dr morris removed a large syst from my ankle. Difficult surgery. 11 staples. I was very nervous. Dr Morris made me feel very relaxed and confident before the surgery.
As promised everything went well. Only minor pain after surgery. Tylonal did the trick. All swelling is gone and scar almost gone after only 9 weeks.

I’m a 45 yr old single mom and was terrified and unsure how to address the awful pain in my hip. I had complete degeneration, bone-on-bone, mis-shaped femur, bone spurs and the worst imaginable pain every second of the day. Even heavy RX did not help. Dr. Morris worked with me on the decision to replace my left hip and it was the best possible thing I could have done. It literally changed my life, gave me my life back. 03/2002 LEFT HIP REPLACEMENT--Now that I've seen many physicians in Las Vegas since 2002 for other reasons, I've become increasingly aware of how fortunate I am that Dr. Morris did my hip surgery. He does not refer you to his staff on questions he should answer, does not convey an attitude of being too busy, and most importantly I returned to work (standing all day) fully recovered 5 weeks after the surgery (49 years old at the time) and have had no complications since (encompassing 16 years).

I first met Dr. Morris in 2014, he replaced my left hip. It was my first surgery and it was a remarkably excellent experience. Dr. Morris was sensitive, attentive and reassuring. Dr Gary Morris is not only a brilliant and highly skilled surgeon; he has a terrific and gentle bedside manner. During a discussion, he gets right to the point. Dr Morris was my surgeon for a case of diabetic gangrene upon visiting the ER. He did a great job explaining the surgery and taking care of me. After a few days of recovery I was fine. Minimal scaring and no complications whatsoever due to his expertise and expert surgery method. My follow up appointments were at his office and I never had to wait more than a few minutes. After years of being in pain, I had a left, total knee replacement by Dr. Gary Morris. My surgery went very well, I was up walking the next day. It has been 10 months since my surgery and I am so happy with my new knee. Dr. Morris is very thorough and is caring and compassionate. His staff is very helpful and polite. I highly recommend Dr. Gary Morris.

I liked Dr Morris because he listens to what I have to say and he's patient. He is someone I would recommend very highly. He is also a very nice and compassionate man and his staff is excellent. They follow up and take care of what needs to be done for the patient.

Dr. Morris performed my double knee replacements in July 2013. After years of suffering and working through pain, knee replacements were inevitable. After two weeks of physical therapy at a facility, I continued home therapy, taking every day seriously. I wanted to make it count. I am very pleased with the outcome and today am pain-free, walk easily, and can finally ride a bicycle after 2O years. I can hike, ride my chopper, and do everything again.
I like Dr. Morris. Personable. Nice guy! Staff is pleasant. My yearly exam showed I'm doing well. Happy I had it done.

I have read some of these reviews and do not believe any of these negative remarks, I have been a patient of Dr Morris for 13 yrs and not once has he been but the up most caring Dr. Dr Morris saved my foot and he replace both of my knee's, because of him I can walk today.
For his staff they are AWESOME.

Dr. Morris is exceptional. He replaced my left hip on 5/28/14. From the start he has been professional, informative and attentive. The surgery went very well and I am currently pain free. I really like Doctor Morris and he's much more thorough and wants to explore more about my hips than going straight to surgery. So glad I got a second opinion and landed with him.
