Maria-Elena (Mia) Pierro-Foster PA-C
Mia was born in Tucson, Arizona, but moved at the age of 3 back to Las Vegas where the majority of her extended family lives. She is pretty much a native to the Vegas area. She then pursued her B.S. Athletic Training degree at Chapman University in Orange, California as a student athlete (Division III soccer all 4 years while obtaining her degree). She became a certified athletic trainer in 2009, but knew her journey was not complete. She graduated with a Master of Physician Assistant Studies at Touro University in Las Vegas, Nevada in November 2012. Upon graduation, she was then hired at Advanced Orthopedics and Sports Medicine with Dr. Timothy Trainor in December 2012. She has been his “right hand man” since. Mia prides herself in the care of her patients and being a key member of the Trainor team. When she is not in the clinic or in the operating room, she enjoys time with her family. She is a busy mama of 2 toddlers that love the outdoors. They love to hike and visit national parks. She also enjoys kayaking with her husband, when the Vegas sun is not baking them.

The entire experience with Dr. Tim Trainor's team has been, without a doubt, the best I could have hoped for. I had my post op appointment to remove stitches and an X-ray of the surgically repaired left shoulder; all the test results were favorable. Mia took the time to review all the test results and performed a few tests on the repaired shoulder, explaining the protocol I needed to follow for the next four weeks. I was extremely pleased with the care Mia provided.

Performed my clavicle surgery. I was referred to them from my mom after they performed her torn bicep surgery.My clavicle was broke in 4 pieces. Very knowledgeable! and listened to my questions and concerns even a couple times I could tell the lobby was busy. Never felt like they didn’t have time for me. Went in for a second opinion after my 1st referral from the quick care said they couldn’t get me in for 2 weeks. Mia at AOSM saw me and said they could get me in for surgery the next day all I had to do was fast and fill out forms. Recovery pain was minimal. Thanks AOSM.

Mia is and has been ESSENTIAL in my recovery from several issues over the past 3 years!!! I've had hip bursitis, rotator cuff injuries, & knee pain due to osteoarthritis. She ordered PT and when I spent enough time in PT, she has provided steroid shots which all relieved pain that has disrupted all of my activities, severely affecting my quality of sleep and mobility.
I am nearly 100% pain free. I will continue strength training as moving and strength training has improved all of my conditions.
Mia is patient, thorough, responsive, and I can't thank her enough for helping me out over the past three years.
